Denver’s Natural Stone Sales Discusses Things To Consider When Designing Your Kitchen Part III

When thinking about redesigning your kitchen, there are many, many factors to consider. You must think about the layout, the lighting, the flooring, the type of appliances, and so much more. Thankfully Denver’s Natural Stone Sales can help you with a lot of these considerations.

Last week we discussed a few factors to consider as far as want you want to include in your new kitchen. We talked about the different types of appliances and your specific needs in your kitchen. Lets take a look at some more factors you need to consider when redesigning your kitchen.

Denver’s Natural Stone Sales recommends you also consider the type of storage you need. I know my dream kitchen will absolutely have a pantry, a really big pantry. I grew up in a coupon clipping military family. My mom bought whatever was on sell and lots of it. Our pantry, in every house we moved to, was something to admire. I loved being able to walk in, much like a walk in closet, and admire all the food I could select from.

Beyond food storage, you also must think about other things you need to store. Are you a baker? Do you want your many mixers to be handy? Currently, all my not-used-every-day- appliances, like my Intantpot, or my crockpot, or my air fryer are stored far, far away from my actual kitchen.

This is not ideal. What I wouldn’t give to have designated spaces for all my counter top occasional use appliances within my tiny kitchen. When redesigning your new kitchen, you can ensure that you have that space. You can ensure that every little thing you use is nearby and neatly stored. Hooray!

It is a really good idea to consider all the types of storage you will need. Be sure to take a good look around your current kitchen. Where are things overflowing? Are drawers or cabinets not closing properly because they are so stuffed? (Guilty.) What is on a counter that you would like in a more tucked away spot?

Be sure to write done a list of items you want to be able to store, yet currently cannot. Also, think about why you want to store this. Then browse around to consider the types of storage available. You would be surprised to see all the options out there. Even if you do not have the space to create a full pantry, you may be able to store those items with other options. Perhaps some lovely standing shelves, or some lazy Susan cupboards.

Finally, think about anything else you might need to store. Do you have holiday dishes you would like more readily accessible? Maybe you have your grandmother’s china that you would like a special place for? Think about everything, make a list, and then start taking a look at all your options.

However you want your new kitchen to look, you can rely on Denver’s Natural Stone Sales. They can help you with all your kitchen design needs.
